My name is Kenneth Jackson and I have been making my own movies since I was very young, using stop-animation and my Godzilla figures. I recently graduated from the University of Michigan where I made many short films of my own. In the summer of 2008 I worked as a key grip on a feature film shot in Ann Arbor called Art House. I learned a great deal about lighting and camera setups by working closely with the cinematographer and director, as well as gaining firsthand experience on how the production process works. With the knowledge I learned from that job, I worked on Diagnosis: Terror, a short film that won best cinematography at the Lightworks Student Film Festival, as well as many other award winning student films. Not only have I done lighting for most of these projects, but I also have operated Arriflex S and SR2 16mm film cameras and Panasonic DVX and Canon GL 2 mini DV cameras. Aside from production, I also have editing experience. I have done everything from splicing film by hand to using programs such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier, and Adobe After Effects.

At the beginning of May, I graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Screen Arts and Cultures. Now I would like to take the knowledge I’ve gained obtaining my degree and experience from being on feature film sets, as well as making student films, and apply it to the workplace.

Currently, I am working as a Production Assistant for Iron Core Media, creating show episodes for their website. I have no contraints on my availablity and would be able to imediatly and completely commit myself to any film company that needs me. With the experience and passion for film that I have, I would be a great asset to any crew.
