Marquis Speights is a triple threat: producer, songwriter and rapper. Born in Detroit, Michigan, 26-year-old Marquis maybe a fresh face on the scene, but he is armed with the knowledge, experience and perseverance to be one of the brightest stars. Speights took interest in acting and radio broadcasting when he was in high school. He began to produce movies and he later produced a three minute commercial for one of the leading companies in the State of Michigan (V.I.C.A)

Speights decided that it was time for him to pursue his music career full time so in 2006, Speights moved to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue his career but ran into some trials while he was making the transition. For the first three months he found himself living out of his car and doing whatever he could in order to maintain a stable living. Speights later ran into a couple of people that were trying to accomplish the same goals as he was. Speights began to travel back and forth from Atlanta to Detroit while also stopping in Decatur periodically. Pretty soon, Speights found himself performing in local cubs and bars in both Atlanta and Michigan.

Speights continues to produce for local artist as well as promoting his company Number Runner Music. He has been featured on some of his artist songs and continues to travel to Atlanta to broaden his horizons while creating a fan base for himself.  Speights is on the come up and people should be on the look out for this talented, gifted, and lyrical artist.
