About me
Growing up in Miramar Florida, Tony began playing the guitar in the early 70's under the direction of jazz guitarist, mentor and friend Paul Farkas. Being exposed to a variety of musical styles at an early age lead to Tony's diverse appreciation of music ranging from Big Bands to Jazz to Country to Rock.
After a decade of honing his skills, Tony began teaching at The Banjo Shop in Hollywood Florida where he developed a love of Bluegrass and Country Music. Tony currently teaches guitar and music theory at the Basirico Guitar Studio as well as being the lead guitar player for Laredo, one of the top Country bands in northeast Ohio.
Although too numerous to mention, some of Tony's musical influences include: Dwight Yoakam, Pete Anderson, Steve Howe, Wes Mongomery, Joe Pass, Brent Mason, Dan Crary, Jim Hall, David Gillmore and Jimmy Page.
