About me
After graduating high school, Vince paid his way through Northern Michigan University where he majored in Finance and minored in International Business. While tenaciously pursuing his degree he constantly battled a nagging urge to move to Los Angeles and pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a professional actor. During his sophomore year he enrolled in an acting class. That was all he needed. In 1997, two years shy of graduating N.M.U., he packed his car and headed for L.A.
Upon arrival, Vince immediately enrolled in the theater arts program at Fullerton College spending the majority of his free time working various jobs, reading industry related books, trade papers and taking professional workshops. Additionally as a way to gain on-set experience and exposure to the real world of production he worked as an extra on television shows such as Beverly Hills, 90210, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and 7th Heaven.
Shortly after landing his first featured roll in the independent film The Waterfront starring Corey Feldman and Todd Bridges and after a lull in bookings and struggling to find agent representation, Vince decided to take his newly acquired knowledge of the entertainment business back to Michigan in an effort to regain control of his destiny.
In Michigan Vince teamed up with a group of filmmakers who would play a major role in his next two films. He was hired to play the role of George in the feature film Corrupted Minds on which he also worked as an associate producer. He then wrote, produced, starred in and successfully rose financing for his next film, Life Goes On, which was recently picked up for distribution through Fylmar Productions, LLC in association with Cineville.
His newest feature, Cut, Print, which Vince also rose financing for, co-wrote, produced and starred in, was recently completed and is scheduled for release this year. With Life Goes On having been signed to international distribution and Cut, Print being heavily sought after by some of the industries finest, Vince is batting a thousand. His newest venture, Poletown, written and to be directed by Sundance fellow Dan Casey, recently wrapped the 2008 esteemed Sundance Labs and is currently in the development phase.
With several other projects on the slate for 2009, such as his action / crime / drama, Somewhere Better Than Here, which recently garnered an Honorable mention at the 2008 Slamdance Screenplay Competition, the future looks more than promising for this rapidly rising triple threat. Under his new shingle, (313) Productions, Vince promises to be a dominant force, both in Michigan’s newly forming creative economy as well as the international film industry at large.
